Dundas Seahawks ready to welcome 4 new athletes
Special Olympics swim team has 32 members
The Dundas Seahawks started 38 years ago and currently has 32 athletes.
They are a Special Olympics swim team, with athletes that have intellectual challenges.
The coaches all volunteer their time, on deck and off, and are excited that two of the athletes, Bobbi-Lyn Cleland and Rita Savoie, qualified to compete at nationals in Antigonish in July.
Those who qualify will then move on to compete in the worlds in Abu Dhabi in two years. Qualifiers for provincials start again in 2019.
The Seahawks are now accepting applications for four athletes this year.
